Welcome to the Sugarloaf Vineyards and Holiday Cottages

Nestling at the foot of the Sugar Loaf Mountains, The Sugar Loaf Vineyards are set in area of outstanding natural beauty in the Brecon Beacons National Park and panoramic views over the Usk Valley.

The Sugar Loaf Vineyards have 7 varieties of grapes planted on 5 acres of south facing slopes this ensures excellent ripening of the grapes, while the balanced soils add a special character to the wine.

Our wines have achieved "Quality Status" from the European Wine Standards Board and have won awards in national competitions. We have 4 varieties of White Wine; our special blend of Red Wine and Sparkling Wines available for purchase.

Our self catering holiday cottages offer a great base for exploring the Brecon Becons and the Wye Valley. We can promise you that you won't tire of the fantastic scenery here at the Sugarloaf Vineyards, our guests also receive a bottle of complimentary wine from the Vineyards on arrival.

What's new for 2010
This year we have three projects set for the Vineyards, we are replanting approximately 1/5 of the Vineyard with some new and exciting varieties, unfortunately the wines won't be ready for tasting until March 2013, hope they're worth the wait! Here at Sugarloaf we're keen to be as ' green ' as we can be, so this year we're planning to utilise our Brook to generate some electricity, it's in the planning stages but hopefully will be ready to install later this year.  Lastly were going to add an online shop to our website so you can purchase all our lovely wines and other welsh goodies that we sell from the Vineyards - watch this space!  Have a great 2010 the sun will shine this year!
